Keeping your child’s health records up to date, means we can act quickly if anything was to happen at school.

If your child requires essential medicines during school hours, you will need to complete a form giving staff permission to administer them. Staff will only give a child medicine with their parent’s written consent by completion of this form.

Medicines brought to school should always be provided in the original container as dispensed by a pharmacist and include the prescriber’s instructions for administration. School will keep written records of each time a medicine is given. If you have any questions about administering medicine at school please contact our Health Care Assistant healthcare@ryburn.tlt.co.uk.
