Study Music at KS4
Assessment at Key stage 3
In Music we monitor students progress using a scale from Bronze to Platinum based on the skills they can demonstrate in lessons. This can be shown as follows:
Small group instrument and vocal tuition
Alongside timetabled lessons, we offer tuition in Guitar, Drums, Piano and Vocal Coaching. Lessons are taught either 1:1 or in small groups up to a maximum of 3 students in each group.
Guitar and singing LESSONS
Guitar and singing lessons are arranged through school and are £17 per lesson for individual half hour lessons and £10 per lesson for pairs
PIANO LESSONS
Piano lessons are taught one to one and are arranged directly through our piano teacher, Miss Trott.
DRUM LESSONS
Drum tuition is currently provided through Calderdale music service. Drum sessions:
20-minute individual lesson (£15.40 per lesson)
30-minute individual lesson (£21.45 per lesson)
20-minute paired lesson (£7.70 per pupil per lesson)
30-minute paired lesson (£11.55 per pupil per lesson)
